Tiger Woods is Better Than Most

Two weeks before winning The Masters and completing the infamous ‘Tiger Slam’, Tiger Woods arrived at Sawgrass at the peak of his powers looking for his first Players Championship win. In the late Saturday afternoon sunshine Tiger faced a treacherous triple breaking downhiller for birdie on the 17th.

As the ball made it’s way down the ridge and toward the hole Johnny Miller asked co-commentator Gary Koch how it looked. Koch replied ‘better than most’ and repeated the phrase as the ball raced across the slope before catching the right lip and sparking vintage celebrations from Tiger.

Woods went on to win by one from Vijay Singh.
