11. Twin Waters Golf Club

Twin Waters Golf Club is internationally recognised as one of the top resort courses in Australia. The 18 hole, par 72 championship course was designed by five times British Open champion Peter Thomson and partner Mike Wolveridge with the stunning setting and challenging layout combining to produce an enjoyable game of golf for all players. The resort also boasts an academy and one of only a handful of aquatic driving ranges in Queensland. Working on the principle of reverse psychology, standing on the practice tee hitting straight out into the water allows golfers to get used to hitting the ball when faced with a body of water. Not always easy but a good test of character! The course was ranked No.42 in Golf Australia’s list of the ‘Top 100 Public Access Courses’ in 2015 and No.11 in Queensland.
