6. The Glades Golf Club

The Glades Golf Club boasts the reputation as one of Australia’s most prestigious resort golf courses and is located on Queensland’s Gold Coast. Designed by Australian golfing icon Greg Norman, the course is typical of his trademark aggressive layouts offering golfers a challenging round of golf within visually stunning surrounds. The Glades is a par 72, 6420 metre championship golf course that spans 65 hectares of land. A feature on the course is the trademark Greg Norman bunkering – in total there are 98 bunkers over 18 holes. In his design, Greg not only had a vision to create a challenging golf course, but he also retained 9 hectares of wetland area to create a natural wildlife sanctuary within the course. The course was ranked No.23 in Golf Australia’s list of the ‘Top 100 Public Access Courses’ in 2015 and No.6 in Queensland. Image credit to The Glades Golf Club.
